    Welcome to the Research Centre at Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies (AIGS). Formally recognized by Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University (BCU), our centre is dedicated to fostering advanced academic inquiry and providing a robust platform for scholars to pursue doctoral excellence.

    Constitution & Governance

    The AIGS Research Centre is constituted and governed under the regulations of Bengaluru City University. Its operational framework includes:

    • University Recognition: The centre holds provisional fresh recognition from BCU for an initial four-year term (2025-26 to 2028-29).
    • Research Advisory Committee (RAC): Every doctoral candidate is supported by an RAC. This committee is headed by the Chairperson of the concerned Post-Graduate Department of the University.
    • Monitoring Mechanism: The RAC meets twice annually (typically in May and November) to scrutinize and forward the progress reports of research students.
    • Faculty Eligibility: Only permanent faculty members are authorized to act as research guides; guest or temporary faculty are not eligible to guide students.
    • Compliance: The centre operates in strict adherence to the “Regulations governing degree of Doctoral of Philosophy Ph.D.-2024” as modified by the University from time to time.

    Recognized Departments

    The departments of Management and Chemistry have been approved as Research Centre by the University, starting from 2025.
