AIGS ALUMNI COMMITTEE

Objectives

• Networking and Relationship Building: Alumni Committees often strive to foster and strengthen connections among alumni members. They facilitate networking opportunities, create platforms for alumni to connect and interact, and organize events where alumni can establish professional and social relationships.
• Professional Involvement: This can include organizing workshops, seminars, or mentorship programs that offer valuable insights, guidance, and skill-building resources to our students for seeking career advancement or personal growth.
• Support and Assistance: The committee often serves as a resource for alumni, providing support and assistance when needed. This can include offering career counselling, job placement assistance, advice on further education, or connecting alumni with relevant resources or individuals who can help them.

Functions

Some of the functions expected are

• Inviting alumni as resource persons to conduct workshops, lectures and career-building events.
• Engage in interaction with the current students to inculcate industry-ready and professional development skills.
• Channelize the culture of internships/career opportunities/profile building/skill enhancement/prerequisites of the job market.
• Conduct alumni meetings at regular intervals.
• Organise Annual Meet at the Institution to connect alumni with their Alma matter.

Mechanism

• Conduct regular meetings with the Departmental Alumni Coordinators
• Offline and online mode of the registry to strengthen the Alumni network
• Registration to the Alumni association “AIGS PETALS”
• Identifying the eminent alumni across the Departments
• Significant support of alumni in academic and job extensions
• Participations of alumni coordinators in the conduct of events and alumni meet
• Planning and execution through SOP.
