Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies (AIGS) is undergoing a strategic transformation from a teaching-intensive institution to a research-intensive ecosystem. Our roadmap for the next five years focuses on elevating academic rigor, fostering innovation, and securing a global footprint in high-impact research.
To ensure measurable growth, AIGS has established year-wise benchmarks for research productivity and intellectual property:
| Year | Scopus/WoS Papers | Patents to be Filed | Expected Granted Patents |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025-26 | 60 | 8 | 5 |
| 2026–27 | 75 | 10 | 8 |
| 2027–28 | 100 | 20 | 15 |
| 2028–29 | 120 | 25 | 20 |
| 2029–30 | 150 | 30 | 25 |
| Cumulative | 300+ | 70+ | 60+ |
We are committed to providing a supportive environment for our faculty and student researchers through the following initiatives:
Our research is not confined to laboratories; we aim for societal impact. AIGS will upgrade its existing incubation centre into a NIDHI-TBI (DST-supported) facility by 2027 to bridge the gap between research and market-ready products.
As part of our commitment to stering a rigorous research culture, the institute is reviving its flagship publication, Gnana Vardhini. This bi-annual, in-house, multi-disciplinary journal serves as a platform for high-quality, original research across sciences, humanities, and social sciences. To ensure the highest academic integrity, the journal employs a double-blind peer-review process and adheres strictly to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. Our strategic goal is to transition Gnana Vardhini from a domestic publication to a globally indexed journal, aligning with UGC-CARE parameters and eventually securing Scopus and Web of Science indexing.
